SoundCloud launches a merch store, letting artists keep 100% of profits
SoundCloud has unveiled a new merch marketplace called the SoundCloud Store, where artists can list and sell their own designs directly to fans.
Artists can submit their designs, and SoundCloud will take care of creating mockups, producing the products, and managing shipping. The German company will manage social media marketing and won’t charge any fees, letting artists keep 100% of the profits.
Currently, the SoundCloud Store is available only to select Next Pro artists, the paid subscription tier with advanced features. At launch, the store features designs from artists like Wiz Khalifa, Denzel Curry, and Armani White, and is open to fans in North America and Europe. Additionally, the store will offer general SoundCloud-branded merchandise for platform enthusiasts.

Earlier this year, it was reported that SoundCloud is seeking a buyer, with a valuation exceeding $1 billion.
