New mobile wireless controller, DJ Control Mix Ultra, launched by Hercules

The new controller has been developed in collaboration with Algoriddim
Hercules has unveiled its latest DJ controller, the DJ Control Mix Ultra.
Designed in collaboration with Algoriddim, the developers of the djay app, this controller is aimed at mobile-first DJs who started mixing music through apps and streaming services. It seamlessly integrates with djay’s app via smartphones and tablets, supporting both iOS and Android platforms.
The DJ Control Mix Ultra comes equipped with two decks, each featuring a three-band EQ, jog wheel, pitch control, eight performance pads, transport controls, and a dedicated filter. The performance pads can be switched between four modes: Hot Cue, Loop, FX, and Neural Mix, which allows for real-time stem separation.
This controller is fully wireless and runs on battery power, offering up to 10 hours of performance time. It is rechargeable via USB-C. While the jog wheels are compact, Hercules claims they still provide precise scratching capabilities.
In terms of connectivity, the unit includes XLR and RCA master outputs, along with 3.5mm and quarter-inch headphone jacks. Users can also connect speakers via Bluetooth, though some latency should be expected. The DJ Control Mix Ultra comes with a hard cover for protection, as well as a ‘split’ cable that enables two mono outputs—one for cueing and one as the master output.
The Hercules DJ Control Mix Ultra is priced at $199 and is available now. For more details, visit the Hercules website.
