Bitwig Announces First Audio Interface, Connect 4/12

The Bitwig Connect 4/12 is a powerful and versatile audio interface designed for modular enthusiasts and DAW users alike, offering extensive connectivity and seamless integration with Bitwig’s software.

Bitwig has introduced its first hardware product, the Connect 4/12 audio interface. This device is equipped with four inputs and twelve outputs of MIDI and CV I/O, making it ideal for controlling modular systems, Eurorack-compatible gear, and studio setups. It also comes with monitoring controls and dedicated transport buttons to streamline DAW workflows.

On top of the device is a 360-degree endless rotary knob that supports six modes, including input volume, headphone volume, and monitor levels. Surrounding the rotary are 32 RGB LEDs that update dynamically to reflect adjustments, ensuring precise control. A key feature of the Connect 4/12 is its dedicated CV I/O panel on the top, which is perfect for modular and CV-enabled equipment users.

The unit includes two DC-coupled inputs and four DC-coupled outputs with 3.5mm connections, allowing seamless integration with hardware. These inputs can also handle audio signals and are compatible with other software beyond Bitwig.

For users of Bitwig’s DAW, the Connect 4/12 is pre-mapped for intuitive control. Hovering over any control within the DAW and using the device’s master rotary dial allows users to adjust parameters easily. The LEDs provide visual feedback, making it simple to track changes in real time.

On the back of the device, there are six TRS outputs, two inputs (one via TRS and one via XLR combi jack), MIDI connections via 3.5mm jacks, and a USB-C port for power and connectivity.

The Bitwig Connect 4/12 is priced at €499, with pre-orders opening soon. The official launch is expected in spring 2025. Visit the Bitwig website for further details and to watch the introductory video.
