AlphaTheta Introduces New Flagship All-In-One Unit, XDJ-AZ

The four-channel unit boasts full-size jog wheels, a large touchscreen, and wireless headphone compatibility.
AlphaTheta, the parent company of Pioneer DJ, has unveiled its latest flagship all-in-one DJ system, the XDJ-AZ.
This four-channel system mirrors the layout of AlphaTheta’s industry-standard club equipment, including the CDJ-3000 and DJM-A9 mixer, and comes loaded with professional-grade features. These include full-size jog wheels with on-jog displays, four-deck playback from a single USB source, built-in WiFi for streaming from Beatport (with more services expected soon), a 10.1-inch color touchscreen, and wireless headphone monitoring via AlphaTheta’s SonicLink protocol.
The XDJ-AZ mixer section offers a full suite of Beat FX, such as Echo, Ping Pong, Flanger, Roll, and Mobius, along with FX Frequency control for applying effects to specific frequency ranges. It features four mixer channels, each with Colour FX controls, up-faders, and a trim knob.
Additionally, the touchscreen can display up to four decks simultaneously and show up to 13 tracks at a time during browsing. Mixer settings, including fader curves, input selection (phono, line, or Bluetooth), crossfader assignments, and mix recording, can all be adjusted using a dedicated button.
One standout feature of the XDJ-AZ is its integration of AlphaTheta’s new SonicLink protocol, allowing users to connect wireless headphones, like the new HDJ-F10, directly to the unit without needing a transmitter.
The back of the unit includes Master XLR and RCA outputs, quarter-inch TRS booth outputs, two combi-jack mic inputs, and phono/line inputs for decks three and four, enabling the unit to function as a traditional mixer. It also has an Ethernet connection for linking to other CDJs, along with a USB-C port for connecting to a laptop for Serato and rekordbox control.
The XDJ-AZ is now available for £2,799. More details are available on AlphaTheta’s website.
